Diaper Drive & Showers of Mercy

10/6/2016

Catholic Charities invites you to close out the Jubilee Year of Mercy with a special focus on the Corporal Work of Mercy: “Clothe the Naked.”

Across the Diocese, Catholic Charities’ offices will be collecting diapers and wipes from now through November 18. Drop off diapers at any of their eight locations – a complete list is available online.

Then, on November 18 at 1:00PM., join Catholic Charities at one of five locations for a “Shower of Mercy,” a baby shower for women in the community where mothers in need can pick up the diapers.

All are welcome to enjoy the showers as volunteers or guests
and have a meaningful “Encounter,” in the spirit of Pope Francis, with Catholic Charities and the community.

We hope
you will consider joining us at a Shower of Mercy!

Works of Mercy: August and September

Clothe the Naked
“Let the children come to me.” Matt. 19:14

At the doors of the Worship Center and Churches you will find posters[left] announcing the Corporal Work of Mercy
for August and September: Clothe the Naked. Our target will be the youngest among us, infants.

Please take a tag. Items we are looking for are Diapers, Wipes and Liquid Formula. (Be sure to screen out expired products.) If you can help, leave the items in the vestibules of the Churches in packages marked Infant.

As always your help is so very much appreciated.
During these two months, keep the welfare and safety of our Children in your prayers.

Pray for the unborn, victims of abortion both parents and children. Pray for children around the world caught in violence, inhumane trafficking and children being abused. Be involved in your school community. Foster a home that encourages reading and education. Pray for children with serious illnesses.  Thank You.

Visit the Imprisoned

Picture
“We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."
(2 Corinthians 5:20)

At the doors of the Worship Center and Churches you will find posters announcing the Corporal Work of Mercy for June and July: Visit the Imprisoned.

No, we are not running visitation
trips to the County Jail or State Prisons. BUT the Diocese of Camden does have a Prison Ministry that attends to programs for the Imprisoned, adult and youth: men and women, boys and
girls.

Take a tag. See what the Diocesan Prison Ministry needs to help with its evangelization for the imprisoned. If you can help, leave the items in the vestibules of the worship sites in packages marked V I. As always your help is so very much appreciated.

During these two months, keep the imprisoned in your prayers. Pray for the victims of crime. Pray for some sort of healing, be it ever so small, for all involved.

Then we may be as St. Paul
describes it: Ambassadors of reconciliation. “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled
to God." (2 Corinthians 5:20)
