The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, (formerly known as R.C.I.A.) is the restoration of the ancient practice of initiating adults (18 years of age and older) into the Catholic Christian community. Christian Initiation is concerned with the fundamental values of the Christian way of life, thus the O.C.I.A., is actually a sacramental process, not a program. It is a journey of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual conversion. Along the way, O.C.I.A., team mentors and presenters, nurture this conversion process of those individuals seeking membership into the Catholic Church through their support and encouragement.
If you are not baptized or are baptized in another faith and have questions about becoming Catholic, check out OCIA at Holy Angels Parish.

Pope Francis said: “ Jesus keeps knocking on our doors, the doors of our lives. He doesn't do this by magic, with special effects, with flashing lights and fireworks. Jesus keeps knocking on our door in the faces of our brothers and sisters, in the faces of our neighbors, in the faces of those at our side."
What We Believe"Our Profession of Faith begins with God, for God is the First and the Last, the beginning and the end of everything." ---the Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 198 |
