5th Sunday of Easter
Stewards Share their Love

“I give you a new commandment: love one another.  As I have loved you, so you also should love one another."    John 13:34

It is easy to love someone when they love us back.  But it takes courage for Stewards to love someone when we feel unappreciated, used or feel our opinion doesn’t matter.  It takes courage to “love my neighbor” when he may be someone I don’t like, someone I don’t know or someone who doesn’t look like me. 

Week of April 24

We pray that we as Stewards have the courage to love others that we don’t like, don’t know or don’t look like us.

4th Sunday of Easter
Stewards Filled with the Holy Spirit

“The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.”    Acts 13:52

Because the disciples heard Our Lord’s call, they were able to spread the Gospel message with strength and vitality.  Stewards, too, can experience that same joy if we take time to open our hearts, listen to God, ask for His direction and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and our decisions.

Week of April 17

​We pray that we as Stewards can open our hearts and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and decisions.

3rd Sunday of Easter
Stewards Feed My Sheep

“Peter was distressed that Jesus had said to him a third time, ‘Do you love me?’ and he said to him, ‘Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep.’”     John 21:17

All of us are challenged to show our love for Jesus by “feeding His sheep.”  Through prayer ask God how you should best use your time, talent and treasure to assist those who are in need.  Remember that Stewardship giving is an act of worship and helps advance the mission of our parish and greater Church. 

Week of April 10

​We pray that through prayer we as Stewards may seek God’s guidance in all our daily spending and giving decisions.

2nd Sunday of Easter
Stewards Receive the Peace of Christ

​“Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’”     John 20:21
 
Peace – the first gift of the risen Lord.  Just as Jesus sent the apostles out into the world to share His peace and Good News, so too, He sends His Stewards.  As disciples of Jesus, we are called to be grateful and generous.  We should look for opportunities to share His peace with our brothers and sisters not only within our local parish boundaries, but outside of them as well.  In giving, you will receive the peace of Christ.

​We pray that as Stewards of Jesus, we answer the call to be grateful and generous and look for ways to help those in need.
