Grief Support Group
Holy Angels Parish is offering a 7 week Grief Support Group that will begin on Wednesday afternoon, September 13th or Thursday evening, September 14th.
This program features Christ-centered teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. Too often people tend to isolate themselves instead of working through their grief and allowing it to do the God-given work for which it is intended.
Don’t allow fear of what others may think to keep you from what could help you. Confidentiality is very much a part of this program.

Fall Bible Study: James, Peter and Jude
Begins Thursday, November 3rd - December 15 at 7:00PM Worship Center upstairs classroom.
This program will continue for seven weeks. The topic will be James, Peter, and Jude: The Catholic Letters". Even if you cannot make all the sessions consecutively, the program is so devised that you can study at home and rejoin the group at your earliest convenience.
This study covers four New Testament letters traditionally known as the Catholic Letters because each is written to strengthen Christian communities scattered across a wide region of the Roman Empire rather than a specific Christian community.
Participants will discover that they contain profound differences as well as intriguing similarities. James is a work of wisdom literature, expounding on the themes of faith and good works,
true wisdom, and the need for the rich to care for the poor.
First Peter resembles a sermon on baptism. It is filled with moral exhortations about living out one's baptismal promises in a properly upright, faith-filled manner, especially in the face of suffering and persecution.
Second Peter contains strong warnings and exhortations to avoid false teachings to maintain proper ethical conduct while awaiting the second coming of Jesus Christ. It shares much of its content with Jude, because of which, Jude is studied in conjunction with Second Peter.
Each participant receives a Text of the Epistle with a Commentary and a Study Guide to consider questions that apply the study to our current lives. The weekly sessions follow a program of personal sharing on one’s assigned reading for the week, questions to consider for discussion and a 15 minute video presented by one of the members of the Little Rock Scripture Study Faculty.
Remember, you don’t have to be a “biblical scholar” to be in the group. Bring your faith and a willingness to learn new insights about the New Testament.
The cost is $20 for the Text and Workbook. If you are interested and are on a tight budget, please call and aid can be offered.
Please call ASAP because materials need to be ordered in advance.
